Northern Lights

Organic lines inspired by the aurora and light that seems to be sucked in.

Northern Wright. Aurora. The name itself reminds us of the light that flows like waves in the night sky of the northern country. This orderly mixed transparent energy illuminates the sky with powerful light like thunder. But Northern Wright is incredibly quiet and transforms into every hue the viewer can imagine. It is ourselves who add music to this vision. Various associations come to my mind. "Influenced by Finnish ancestors, this series was titled Northern Wright. Northern Wright is found primarily in the Arctic Circle. Compared to the lush southern countries, the plants that grow in this area Small, the nature is wild and the earth is bare. It makes me want to believe that nature created the Northern Lights to make up for the missing colors. "

The transparent tones of Northern Light are mixed, changing to new shades rather than the clear colors that people want to reasonably discriminate. The viewer will accept it and immerse himself in his own feelings and feelings. "We mixed water and varnish with pigments to create life in color, and let it flow naturally. It creates constellations and energies of colors that cannot be created by human hands. Leave it to fate without trying to control it. By doing so, you can experience a profound painting. ”The colorful sea of light gains the viewer's perspective and spreads the waves throughout the sky. If you're a curious person, you can't even think about closing your eyes.

"The tightly controlled lines and details contrast with the organic movements of the colors. It's up to the viewer to see how light and gravitational they are, but to explore the world of this painting. I need the lead of the person who helps me. The elements I consciously draw will guide the exploration. ”This painting, expressed in a challenging language, is a favorite on the journey to discover the inner universe. It touches the hearts of all those who are about to leave. "My art is a clear expression of the contrast that exists everywhere. In it, we can see the universal paradox.

It's an inspirational journey for me, and I hope it's an inspiration for those who see and accept my paintings. ”The interpretation changes to reflect the impact of everyday life. do. New details emerge every day, and the painting resonates as a subjective experience with powerful energy.

Rikke Darling Born in 1975 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Under the influence of the art teachers he met in the early days of living in a big city from an early age, he began to explore paintings in a wide range of fields. However, the strength and attention to detail found in this series is not solely due to the influence of the art world. He studied design and illustration at the Copenhagen Fashion Design Academy, and was also greatly influenced by his experience at the Copenhagen Business School and the Master's Program in Design & Communication Management.

The transparency that creates comfort and the technique of using light and shade for contours are inspired by the world of fashion. With this special Gestalt technique, the viewer can feel the thought hidden in the work in his mind and interpret it in his own way. Rough or fine-grained materials such as knits, wool, fur and threads certainly give the impression of structure. The richness of the carefully scrutinized details is influenced by the fashion world. It's a good example of how details make a difference.

The origin of life, wandering in search of light.

When I saw this painting for the first time, I felt some kind of pleasant poisonousness, with organic lines moving on the surface of the canvas that seemed to emit something. The place where the line ends is likely to extend beyond the screen to the end of the universe. In the first place, I feel that it is impossible for a painting to be framed and expressed in it. I think creative work is communication with the universe. An inner space that goes toward the inner side of the heart, not the universe that extends to the endlessly distant world. Depending on the imagination of the viewer, the abstract painting that can be captured in any way is influenced by one's own experience. The reason I'm attracted to her work may be that I think of the harsh winters of my hometown of northern countries.

About 4.6 billion years ago, when the Earth was born from the Big Bang of the universe and the first life was born in the sea, microorganisms, the smallest unit of living things, were moving in the pitch-black sea in search of light. Entering the middle generation, a large dinosaur appeared and entered the ice age. The dinosaurs couldn't save their lives from the cold because of their large bodies. During the day, the sun-lit ice melts a little on the surface and freezes again at night. Hiding in the slightly melted ice droplets, the microbes sneaked into the cracks on the surface of the earth and reached near the magma to warm themselves up.

At some point, the ice age was over, and on the surface of the earth, the dinosaurs were extinct, and they crawl up through the gaps in the cracks and reach the surface in search of light. And when I look at this picture, I feel the sturdiness of life trying to survive in search of light from the harsh environment like these microorganisms. Living, including humans, may be a creature seeking hope in the name of light. Its DNA is attracted to this painting, just as our ancestral microbes continue to wander in search of light in the freezing cold.
